Implantology

The modern implantology, marked by Branemark and Linkow, has improved within the last 35 years to a scientifically accepted medical treatment. Generally we use pure titanium implants, which we insert in local anesthesia. In relation to the quality and quantity of the jaw-bone the implants need a certain time to heal in (osseointegrate). The Osseointegration averages usually between 3-6 months.
After the period of osseointegration the implants take over the function of naturally roots and can be provided with crowns, bridges or dentures. The prosthetic is being dependent on the particular situation of your other teeth and dentination.

At the beginning of implantation we make x-rays and plaster models of your teeth, which we have to send to a consultant dentist, who decides about the necessity of implants. This is an important step for the decision whether your insurance will take over parts of the costs or not.
In case they will not take over parts of the costs you will have to pay the whole treatment by yourself.
